Please update to work with iOS 11

I liked this when it worked. Too bad it doesn’t anymore.

iOS 11 update ASAP! This is a nice app but what it really needs is the ability to utilize the iPhone accelerometer to detect earthquakes and automatically share that data to the cloud and/or the USGS. Only when enough similar readings are detected from a certain region within a narrow timeframe would the data be considered legitimate and then be pushed back out to the map for all users to view. The app could also be active only at certain times of the day/night that the user defines. As well as only be active when connected to pre-defined wifi networks. Such as Home or work. Another option would be to only take accelerometer reading when it is plugged into power (such as when on your night stand or connected to a computer USB). The app could also use the iPhone GPS to disable sensor reading when moving. As well as only record seismic data when the app detects the iPhone is laying flat on its back. Another option would be to disable the seismic sensor data output when a face is detected with the front facing camera. Requiring the app to be running in the foreground would also further prevent false readings. This could easily, quickly, and cheaply create a huge network of seismographs around the world. Needs to be able to run in background (Multitasking). Needs to record magnetometer data as well.

Perhaps the developer is taking a potty break instead of writing code?

Can we get an update? Unable to open app, as it’s not compatible with iOS 11. I don’t want to delete it on the remote possibility that there may be an update. Not able to find anything comparable as of yet.

No updates in six years. I'll delete it!

As of 2016 with IOS 9.3.4, the settings for wifi data, etc, no longer work. Attempting to edit any text box shows only a grey box, no keyboard. Enabling the transmit data switch now locks up the app. Was cool back in 2011, but needs some updates to comply with current apple dev standards and function properly.

The application freezes to the point where it will not respond to input and needs to be force closed.

Not formatted for any iPhone past the iPhone 4s. App appears to be abandoned, for free it's ok, but if they charge money for the app, it's not worth it at all.

Buttons don't work on iPhone 6 using OS8! Moving on to another app.

The sensitivity & features seem really great, but the app can only handle a few seconds of recording before it freezes up completely making it useless. Update to fix that and it gets five stars.

I use this for analyzing postural tremor with the fast fourier transform function. I simply have the patient hold out one hand while holding my phone. You can also use distraction maneuvers with the opposite hand.

Since the developers site it down, I'll post here. I have been using this app since my 3GS and its been flawless. I have iOS 8 running on my 4S and the new 6. Still works great on the 4S but the buttons lock up every time on anything running iOS8. No keyboard control at all. Reloaded it twice with the same result. So if the developer has left this app behind, I guess I will too. There are several apps as good and better than this. Too bad..

I tried to use the e-mail feature on my iPhone 6 and the keyboard area goes blank but the keyboard doesn’t show up.

I used this on my iPhone 4. Loved it. Now it Locks up in IOS 8 and my iPhone 6. Too bad the app is no longer updated

The application is excellent and is one of the few great apps that allow you to export information over UDP with low-pass filtering. However it has two fatal flaws. The first being that it crashes back to the main screen after running for about 24 hours. I’m writing an earthquake monitoring app for various locations in my house and having to check each iPhone/iPod around the house to make sure they’re still running is a pain. Secondly the app needs to be updated for the iPhone 5 screen size and resolutions. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

I totally disagree with the review saying change the UI. It's great as is! Maybe make a full screen version for newer iPhones if anything. It's so hard to write a simple app with excellent functionality. This app nails it. Good job!

I really have fun with this app but it will be perfect if you make it record sismic activity so when I wake up after my sleep I can see what happened during night like a sismic activity recorder

Its very accurate and sensitive so now ill now if an earthquake is coming :-)

The thing that will make this app perfect is iPhone 5 support And I will put 5 stars

The FPS is too low for my 4th gen ipod

Sensitive. It'll be nice when the rec. time is longer, but its great.

It's very sensitive and it takes up little space

I love this app! However, there are several improvements that could be made. First, the X, Y, and Z lines should be different colors to avoid confusion. Also, all the buttons crowding the bottom of the screen should be merged into a single button called “Menu,” which would bring up a pane with those tabs. And the features should be explained more, I still have no idea what the last 3 seconds screen does. Anyway, great work! I look forward to future updates.

I use this simulator in class every year.

The app is sensitive and great!!! BUT IT MAY HAVE CAUSED MY ITOUCH TO BECOME VERY HOT ( not sure if my brightness or anything else had to do with it ). Be VERY CAREFUL when using this handy app.

I love that it tells you the y, x and z axis and is extremely sensitive for accurate results, but I would like it even more if it could also graph your results in 3-D. NOW THAT WOULD BE COOL!!

We used it to determine the best place for our scanning electron microscope. We were able to prove that some parts of the room are less prone to vibration than others. Thanks. Very helpful.

Great app, but i dont understand what it is telling me. For instance, I know that higher frequency is stronger quake but what does that correlate to in 3.0 4.0 scale etc...

Set your iPod iPhone on your sternum and watch your heartbeat, it's that sensitive.

Although i wouldn't use it 24/7 it's a nice little gadget to have!

You can use this app to freak out people who aren't from earthquake-prone areas, like we did to my wife's cousin from Florida. Seriously, though, this app can be used to teach some of the basics of earthquakes.

This is amazing. Just like a real pocket sized seismograph! If it's in your pocket during an earthquake, hopefully you can turn it on, set it on the floor and click the Report An Earthquake button. Talk about social network reporting. That would be so cool to have, not only verbal reports of what it felt like, but real graphic reports live from the scene! You guys should get an award for this. Plus it has a link to contribute to earthquake relief funds. Great job!
